Discover the art of bridal couture through an intimate, hands-on draping experience.

This creative workshop centres on the making of a miniature wedding dress on a 1/4 scale mannequin, guiding you from initial design concept to three-dimensional draping and construction. You will explore the foundations of couture dressmaking, learn how fabric moves on the body, and create a beautifully crafted miniature bridal piece to take home.

Whether you are completely new to bridal design or already have some experience in dressmaking, this course is designed to help you develop your creative eye, technical understanding and appreciation for refined hand-crafted details.

- Full-Day Couture Experience
Approximately 8 hours

- Recommended for students who would like to experience the full creative process, from concept development to draping, fitting, detailing and finishing.

Materials

- The course fee includes basic materials:

• Calico / toile fabric
• Pattern paper
• Basic thread and practice fabric

Advanced materials for the final piece, such as bridal fabrics, lace, trims or specialist textiles, are charged separately depending on the design. You may also bring your own materials, or receive guidance from the tutor on suitable fabric choices.

Where required, fabric sourcing support or accompanied material selection can be arranged.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

-To maintain the quality of the course and reserve dedicated teaching time, all bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

• Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days before the course date.
• Requests made within 14 days of the course will be considered, subject to availability, but changes cannot be guaranteed.
• Where possible, your booking may be transferred to another available date, arranged with another tutor, or held for the tutor’s next teaching period in Taiwan.
• All rescheduled sessions are subject to the course availability at the time of request.

Course Duration and Making Time

-This is a creative, design-led course. The time required to complete each piece may vary depending on the complexity of the design.

- During the pre-course design consultation, we will help assess the estimated making time for your chosen design.

• If the estimated making time exceeds 8 hours, a two-day course or extended session may be recommended.
• Additional teaching hours will be charged separately.
• Minor finishing time on the day, such as small adjustments or final touches, will not incur an additional fee.
• Significant extension of making time will be charged accordingly.

- This ensures each student receives the right level of guidance and enough time to create a refined, carefully finished piece.
