Lace Egg Embroidery Workshop – Course Introduction

This workshop is inspired by the everyday creative work and craftsmanship behind ForeverTies bridal design.

Through a carefully guided creative process,
you will explore beautiful bridal materials and learn how lace, embroidery and decorative details
can be combined to create a refined handcrafted piece.

The workshop combines practical techniques with creative exploration,
allowing you to experiment with different textures, arrangements and embellishments
while developing your own individual design.

During the workshop, you will explore techniques commonly used in bridal design,
including lace appliqué, introductory bead embroidery and decorative detailing.
No previous embroidery experience is required, so complete beginners are very welcome.

At the end of the workshop, you will take home
your own delicate and individually designed piece of lace embroidery.

Embroidery is a detailed and thoughtful process,
and each participant will naturally work at their own pace.

The focus of the workshop is on learning the techniques and enjoying the creative process.
Depending on your working pace and the level of detail you choose to add,
some finishing touches may need to be completed at home.

Design Options

Two designs are available as starting points for your own creation:

Ethereal Lace Egg

Featuring lightweight lace and soft layered textures, this design creates an elegant, romantic and ethereal aesthetic with a delicate sense of lightness.

Bridal Harmony Egg

Inspired by the balance and harmony found in bridal craftsmanship,
this design combines ribbon, embroidery and decorative detailing to create a richer and more layered composition.

 

What You Will Learn

During the workshop, you will be introduced to embroidery techniques and lace appliqué,
as well as different ways of incorporating bridal fabrics, ribbons and embellishments into handcrafted pieces.
With step-by-step guidance throughout the four-hour session, you will gradually create your own unique lace egg.

All materials and tools will be provided, so there is nothing you need to bring.

Workshop Tea Time

Light refreshments will be provided during the workshop,
giving you the opportunity to slow down, focus on your piece
and enjoy a relaxed yet rewarding creative experience.

Previous Students' Work

Every finished piece from our previous workshops has been different.
Even when working with the same core materials and techniques,
each participant makes their own choices in lace placement, colour, arrangement and decorative details,
resulting in a piece with its own individual character.

The workshop is not only about the satisfaction of completing a finished piece,
but also about learning new techniques, understanding the materials
and giving yourself the time and space to focus on the creative process.

About ForeverTies and Fang-Yu

This workshop is personally taught by bridal designer Fang-Yu Yeh.

She holds a Master's degree in Fashion Design Management from the University of the Arts London, bringing together fashion design and brand management while building practical experience in bespoke fashion, bridal styling and brand operations.
She also combines floral design with bridal craftsmanship, continuing to develop a cohesive, refined and elegant approach to wedding aesthetics.

This experience is reflected throughout the workshop,
giving participants the opportunity to explore the materials, techniques and creative process behind bridal craftsmanship first-hand.
